Lavender in Bloom on the Bike Tour

Clairmont Lavender Farm is a lovely and welcome resting point on the tour all year round. But now, and for the next several weeks it is at its most beautiful as the Grosso lavender planted there shows its colorful flowers. At Clairmont, the lavender oil is made using steam distillation in their copper still. Did you know it requires 20 pounds of lavender flowers to produce one ounce of lavender oil?
