Frequently Asked Questions...

01

How do you drink wine and ride a bike?

Well, we don't do it in that order!  We devote the a.m. hours to exploring the quaint valley towns, Lavender Farm, and stunning vistas and fun animals of Ballard Canyon on the bikesThen we reward you wth an afternoon of olive oil and wine tasting with a delicious lunch.  It's a perfect balance that our guests really love.

02

Can you pick us up at our hotel?

In many cases, we can.  Depending on the demand for the day's tour, we may direct you to a designated pick up location near your hotel.  Book early to make YOUR hotel a designated pick up location.

If you are already staying in the wine country, you can meet us at the starting point of the bike ride or we can make arrangements for pick up there as well.

03

What should we wear?

Something sporty with closed toed shoes.  It's not the Tour de France, but it is a real bike ride!  Dress comfortably for exercise.  Keep an eye on the forecast to dress appropriately for the day's weather.

04

Do we need to bring anything?

Not so much.  We have you covered.  We provide the bikes and helmets, full water bottle, energy bars, and a great lunch.

Sunglasses are always good to bring along.  If you think you might like a little souvenir while biking from the Lavender Farm or Solvang, a small bag or backpack can be nice; but, we will gladly carry items for you as well.

05

What if it rains?

You have options:

1. As long as conditions are safe, we will still support a ride in the rain if that is your preference.

OR...

2. We can add additional tastings a do the tour from our van.  We know the region, its wine, and history very well and can provide a fun tour of the wine country.  If it's raining on your vacation, a day of wine and food tasting in Santa Ynez Valley is a really great option.

OR...

3. You can re-schedule or cancel and receive full refund if the weather prevents cycling.  If  biking is your primary reason for the tour, we will happily make an exception to our cancellation policy and provide a refund the tour in the event of inclement weather.  Just let us know by the evening before your ride if weather looks to be a factor for you (once we head out to the wine country, we can no longer provide a refund).
